The delegation visited LALIGA's headquarters in Madrid, where they were received by Javier Gómez, LALIGA's corporate director general. During the day, various meetings were held with different areas of the organisation, including Financial Control, Sports Projects and Digital Ecosystem, in order to share experiences and explore new avenues for collaboration. The visit is aligned with the MOU (Memorandum of understanding) that LALIGA has until 2029 with CFL, the Chinese professional football league, for which Javier Tebas, president of LALIGA, was appointed advisor.

The aim of this visit is to share knowledge and best practices in key areas such as sports management, infrastructure, grassroots football development and digital innovation, in line with LALIGA's commitment to internationalisation and cultural exchange with Chinese football.

In the days leading up to the visit, the delegation attended several sessions at Atlético de Madrid's headquarters, where topics such as fan engagement, youth academy management and stadium exploitation were discussed, as well as taking a tour of the Riyadh Metropolitan Stadium and its VIP areas. The group was also welcomed at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez by Getafe CF, where they discussed monetisation models, coach training and grassroots football projects.

"We are very pleased with Shanghai Shenhua's visit to Spain. This visit is a sign of the growing interest and passion for football in China and our desire to strengthen relations with international clubs. We believe that the exchange of experiences will contribute to the development of both football ecosystems. LALIGA and its clubs have extensive knowledge in financial control, football development and Matchday operations, areas in which Chinese clubs have shown great interest. These are the most notable areas of the agreement with CFL, whose objectives are aligned with this type of visit. " said Javier Gómez, corporate director general of LALIGA.
