UD Almería and RC Celta added the finishing touch to matchday 35 of the Liga BBVA with an exciting game that ended in a 2-2 draw. The share of the points leaves the Andalusian side 16th in the table while the side from Vigo stay in ninth place.
Both sides imposed a frenetic pace of play on the match and that led to an exciting and open game with chances from the first minute onwards. Thievy Bifouma led Almería in attack however two sensational moves from Celta put the side from Vigo ahead in the first half. First it was Nolito who scored following a link-up move from his side, and then Santi Mina made it 0-2 to calm the nerves of the Galicians.
Motivation was the main ally of Almería and once again Thievy was the perfect man to create danger and reduce the deficit. He did it in the 47’ minute, after finishing off a shot from Ximo Navarro that had hit the woodwork. Celta then had their most tenuous period of the game. The Andalusians took advantage to turn the result around with an equaliser from Jonathan Zongo. Celta almost took the win in added time with a shot that hit the post, but the game ended with the scores even and the points shared.
