Héctor Fort, LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of the Month for December

Héctor Fort's work of art against Rayo Vallecano has been voted LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of the Month for December. This spectacular play by the young Catalan full-back opened the scoring for Elche CF in their resounding 4-0 victory over Rayo Vallecano.

With the score at 0-0 at the Martínez Valero after six minutes of play, Héctor Fort received the ball on the right wing. He cut inside between two opponents, skilfully dribbled past one of them and found himself in the box before firing a rocket into the top corner of Augusto Batalla's goal, who could do nothing to stop the young defender's shot.

The number 39 in Éder Sarabia's side won the LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of the Month award after beating Williot Swedberg (RC Celta) against Real Madrid and Carlos Romero (RCD Espanyol de Barcelona) against Athletic Club in the vote. Héctor Fort succeeds Nico Williams, who scored the LALIGA EA SPORTS Goal of the Month in November.
