Unai Emery and Pablo Machín, the best managers in October

Having revealed the best players of the month of October in the Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante, now it is the turn of the managers; the coaches whose work in the dugouts has catapulted their teams to success. Unai Emery and Pablo Machín are the two coaches chosen by the LFP.es editorial team.

Unai Emery. The success of Sevilla FC early this season, and particularly in October, is his handy work. The manager of the Andalusian side led his team to 12 points from a possible 12 while conceding just two goals in the Liga BBVA during matchdays 7, 8 and 9 of the competition. Sevilla reached the heights of second place, level on points with FC Barcelona, and had their best ever start to the season in Emery's second campaign in their dugout.

As well as these stats, the experienced manager can also boast having coaxed the best out of several of his stars in just a few weeks of competition. Carlos Bacca, Denis Suárez, Gerard Deulofeu and Stéphane Mbia have given their all to contribute their potential to a well-drilled and competitive team who know exactly what they are doing.

Pablo Machín. The Girona FC manager has settled in the Catalan dugout in his second season at the helm. A perfect record in the month of October has taken his team to second place in the table, hot on the tails of the leaders; R. Valladolid CF.

His team was a well-oiled machine; they did not concede a single goal and had the solidity of a side who could contend to win the promotion that has been so close in recent years.
Machín has surpassed records set by Rubi's Girona, the team that reached the final of the promotion playoffs, but fell at the final hurdle. In the month of October, the coach from Soria took his team to the top of the table and they now have a total of 23 points from a possible 30.
