Previously... Leonardo Ángel Biagini (b. Arroyo Seco, Argentina, 13 April 1977) is a former footballer who played as a striker for the likes of Atlético Madrid, RCD Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano, R. Sporting and Albacete B, among others.

His achievements… Biagini was a skilful forward, with speed and great versatility. The player from Santa Fe was able to show his worth in any attacking position. He started his career at CA Newell’s Old Boys in Argentina, where his good performances, along with a great U-20 World Cup, which his team won, earned him a place at Atlético Madrid in the Liga BBVA. He played a key role in the side’s famous double in 96 (Liga BBVA and Copa del Rey). Soon after he won the Supercopa de España with Mallorca, and he repeated the feat in the cup competition for the Bermellones.

After hanging up his boots... He said farewell to football in 2007 while playing for Arsenal Football Club. But the striker did not leave empty-handed. After winning the Copa Sudamericana, he decided to end his career as a footballer. Since then, Biagini has devoted himself to being a footballers’ agent.

Did you know… The Argentine won the 1995 U-20 World Cup with his national team, scoring two goals in the semi-finals against Spain. In the South American tournament, he earned his club’s first victory at international level. His side was unbeaten at home in the championship, but they lifted the trophy without winning any of their away fixtures.
